Most Americans have some trouble with food.  As a culture, we don’t know how to eat. “Experts” tell us to eat based on a one-size-fits all set of charts, pyramids and calorie counts, with most of us on a diet at any given moment. Over the last several decades, this way of eating has left us with increasing rates of fatness, increased diagnoses of eating disorders and for many, a relationship with food that drains the very joy from living.

Maybe you’ve given up on diets. Maybe you’re in recovery from an eating disorder but still haven’t figured out how to eat in a way that feels affirming and healthy. Maybe you’re just tired of thinking about  about what you ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’ eat and eating in a way that feels chaotic and out of control. Maybe you yourself struggle with picky eating? Maybe you can’t trust your children with food or feed them in a positive way until you learn to do the same for yourself.
